Mark Sikora of Milwaukee WI was the 12th fish at 34 inches, and Ron Leu of Hudson WI tied for 10th place but lost the card draw. But Lucky Leu won the 11th place drawing as well as having the unprecedented luck of catching a fish on the first day and winning the shotgun raffle and the cooler of booze raffle on the same day.
A wonderful meal of Ham Stacker sandwiches was provided by The Landing on the first night, where tournament rules were reviewed and fishing conditions discussed. A break in the first day of fishing for the Brat Feed was at Deer Run Resort. The food was donated by Reinhart Food Service. The final night awards dinner at Treeland Resorts welcomed a record crowd of participants and guests. Each event included door prizes and raffle drawings, with the final place prizes awarded at Treeland Resorts.
All 200 participants are included in the drawing for the Grand Prize – a Polaris Sportsman 4 Wheeler purchased from Hayward Power Sports. The lucky winner was Jerry Mannigel of Hayward WI.
Over 100 door prizes were awarded each night including a total of 12 spinning combo rod & reels, 33 rods, 34 reels, rain gear, 6 game cameras, clothing, numerous baits and more. The Lake Chippewa Flowage Resort Association is grateful to its members for their many donations and for the sponsorships of Cabela’s Outfitters, Park Ridge Distributing, Hayward Bait and Tackle, Jenk’s Bait and Tackle and Reinhart Food Service.
