Snow Tour – Then and Now
Almost 300 snowmobilers participated in the 2001 Lake Chippewa Flowage Snow Tour. Sledders came from as far away as Georgia and Ohio, with the most coming from Minnesota and Illinois, closely followed by Wisconsin residents. Iowans represented a significant presence on the lake as well. Visitors picked up a Snow Tour Card at a participating business and then the fun began.
Traveling business to business across the Chippewa Flowage guests had their Snow Tour Cards stamped with unique individual stamps. Once they had at least 8 stamps from the 12 possible locations they could turn their card in for a FREE Snow Tour Pin.
But, that wasn’t all! Turning in a completed card also entered the person into a drawing for 4300 towards lodging at any Lake Chippewa Flowage Resort Association member resort for use any time until September 2002, not just winter only. A resident of Minnesota was the lucky winner!
