Beginners Luck
PT was new to musky fishing. His intention was to practice throwing a musky bait in Jackie’s Bar/the Sticks, in preparation to moving around the corner to Mittens Bar.
It was 70 degrees and not a ripple on the water. On his first cast the musky blew up the bait! In spite of the surprise good fishing protocol kicked in, other baits set aside, net ready.
The fish was netted, pictures taken and musky released correctly, swimming off without a hitch.
