The crystal clear waters come into focus, glistening under the warm rays of the sun. The lake stretches out for miles, surrounded by lush green trees and rolling hills in the distance. On the surface of the water, small ripples dance and shimmer, creating a mesmerizing pattern that is constantly changing. The cameras revealing the the lake. The colorful dragonflies hovering above, and the occasional boat gliding across the calm waters.

The cameras are equipped with high-definition technology, providing viewers with a clear and vivid image of the lake and its surroundings. As the day progresses, the cameras capture the changing moods of the lake from the west (Pats Landing) or from the east (Deerfoot Lodge) – from the peaceful morning stillness to the vibrant hues of a sunset reflecting on the water’s surface.

Our Web camera’s also offer a glimpse into the diverse wildlife that call the lake their home. Ducks paddling lazily, Chipmunks, Deer, Bear and Hummingbirds. The cams are a window into the tranquil oasis of the Lake Chippewa Flowage allowing people from all over the world to experience the tranquility and beauty of the lake without ever having to leave the comfort of their own homes or mobile phones. It is a testament to the power of technology, bringing people closer to nature in a way that was once unimaginable. Whether it’s a calming escape or a virtual getaway, the web cam that views the lake is a captivating and immersive experience that will leave viewers in awe of the wonders of the natural world.

First developed in 1991, a webcam was pointed at the Trojan Room coffee pot in the Cambridge University Computer Science Department (initially operating over a local network instead of the web). The camera was finally switched off on August 22, 2001.
